7/15/04
First, apologies to our Austin friends who may have attempted to catch our show on 7/7 at Beerland. A last minute issue forced us to cancel. We have not played in Austin since March!! We will return to a stage in Austin after our tour of the southwest this summer… meaning it’ll probably be early September before we play Austin again. For our San Antonio, Houston and D/FW/Denton friends, stay tuned for SEPTEMBER dates in your cities. There’s also a rumor of a return to Kansas City, our favorite home away from home.
UPCOMING TOUR OF THE SOUTHWEST: Speaking of the tour, it’s commences 7/29 in Lubbock. Check our shows page for a complete itinerary. We’ll go all the way to San Francisco, down the CA coast and back home via AZ.
NEW T-SHIRTS: Alright, for every 1 of you who loved the white T-shirts, there were 2 of you who “don’t wear white”. Since we can’t seem to eradicate this gothic mantra from your brains, we’ve made some sleek, new BLACK T-shirts with a front and back print. They are higher quality shirts and higher quality prints. For those of you who still like the old white T-shirt with the big, mean bird on it, we still have those, too. Black - $10, White - $6. If you’d like to have one shipped to you, send an email to invincibleczars@yahoo.com

AND THEN THERE WERE 4… That’s right, as is customary with an Invincible Czars recording session, we’ve parted ways with another member of the band. Accordionist Shirley Johnson played with the Czars for one year and we wish her the best of luck with her career in international folk music. You can still catch Shirley’s solo act every weekend night at the European Bistro in Roundrock, TX (Austin’s northern neighbor). We will be accompanied on tour by our new friend Bill (who hasn’t told us his last name, social security number or ATM PIN code yet) will man the JUNO-6 keyboard and accordion duties. Bill is totally hot and available.
