It's been a while since our last web site update and a lot has happened!  We played some shows that went surprisingly well, recently:

Most notably, we played to an enthusiastic crowd at the Red Eyed Fly while most of you were in Houston for Radiohead.   The most amazing and entertaining musician from California opened the show - Brian Kenney Fresno.  Brian plays a Warr Guitar, which is like a Stick only better (according to Brian), and performs solo.  I dare to say that this man is funnier than Ween and as high caliber a player as Les Claypool or Victor Wooten (note Brian's comment on our links page).   Brian and his girlfriend Felix spent the next day with our guitarist, Josh, and we hope to visit him in Fresno for some California recount conquest in the near future.

Graham Reynolds of the Golden Arm Trio joined us on drums for a super fast rendition of "Jarba Mare Jarba" at the Carousel Lounge in September.  He also previewed his upcoming Symphony III which will premier on 10/11 at the Off Center.  Visit the Golden Hornet Project for ticket info.  Attic Ted finished the night off as only they can.  Adam, Josh and Rick were spotted performing the latest dance craze "the shovel" during the set.

We also had an excellent show at Trophy's with our new pals The Awesome Cool Dudes and Muppletone.  Black Cock joined us on the bill as well for some high volume action.  We also made the finalized version of the new EP available for the first time at this show.

The benefit for Keith Palumbo raised over $1000 for our half deaf comrade.  We sold several pre-release copies of the EP that night.  They feature a unique live track that we do not plan on ever releasing or recording.  The 10 of you who bought it should relish it's uniqueness before ripping a copy and sharing it with your pals via the new fangled inter-web.

Our accordionist, Shirley, was also on the morning to news to promote an accordion festival in Central Texas.  She'll also be playing a huge Oktoberfest in Tulsa, OK.

Our bassist, Adam, also played bass in the We Aren't the Modern Lovers band for Josh Franks  The Man Who Was Too Loud.  Read a review of this production in the Austin Chronicle

Josh and Adam played the loudest and most rocking Stinky del Negro set ever with Snoopy the Snupulator on drums at Room 710 on 9/11.

Invincible Czars T-shirts will also be available as soon as our 10/24-10/25 weekend North Texas.  It is being designed by ex-Full Court Press bass-man and video game concept artist Zach Hall.  The gentlemen (?) at Bearded Lady will be assisting.

We also have a video for the Austin Music network and some radio appearances in the works (with KUT 90.5 FM  and KVRX/KOOP 91.7 FM ).  We'd also like to thank the best DJ on the air in Austin - Aaron the Lobsterman - for playing the Invincible Czars on KOOP's "Around the Town Sounds" which airs Thursdays from 1-3 PM.  Aaron dances a mean jig when the Brown Whornet is in town.

And finally, the web site has undergone a total overhaul.  We've added more pictures, biographical info and more music.
